DR. LAURA WALSH
OSTEOPATH / DIRECTOR
MEET LAURA
Laura thrives on connecting with people, this was a large part of her reason for starting Quay Osteo - to connect with the Torquay community and build a team of like-minded, health-focused practitioners. She is deeply compassionate and has a special understanding for the impact of complex conditions on individual and families. In both her personal and professional life, she is always looking at how she can grow and evolve to then support and empower others to do the same. A new-ish mum, she particularly enjoys working with young families and has undertaken extensive professional development on working with babies and children.
DR. YOLANDA FISHER
OSTEOPATH
MEET YOLLI
Yolli is loved and trusted by animals and children alike, and we can’t think of better judges of character. Originally from Scotland, she is a talented musician and has a deep love for the beauty and stillness of the natural world. In contrast, she is a self-confessed weight lifting junkie and can outlift anyone in the clinic. Her clients appreciate her ability to work with both gentleness and strength, and her intuition on what is needed on the day. Her great loves are her two dogs and she is a talented animal osteopath who can be found at allearsanimalosteopathy.com.au

DR. JAMES SHANAHAN
OSTEOPATH
MEET JAMES
James has an openness and curiosity about that world that can encourage you to look at things differently. His thirst for knowledge has turned him into a perpetual student, and he joins us while he completes his Medicine post graduate studies at Deakin. We expect to be referring to him as an orthopedic surgeon one day. Clients value his lateral thinking ability when it comes to recurrent pain, especially of the pelvis and lower extremity, and overcoming the limitations this places on their favourite activities. Colleagues appreciate what he brings to team brainstorming on complex conditions. A golf addict and keen runner, he has enjoyed adapting to the coastal lifestyle in 2020.

DR. TOM GUBBINS
OSTEOPATH
MEET TOM
Tom came to Quay Osteo after many years of living and working in Melbourne. Having spent the bulk of his life coming back and forth from the Melbourne to the Surf Coast, he decided to ditch city life and make himself a part of the Torquay community. Tom brings with him a wealth of knowledge, a great sense of humour and a passion to help people keep active and take control of their health. Describing himself as a 'movement promoter', Tom firmly believes in the innate potential and resilience of the human body. It is this belief that follows him into the treatment room; as he continuously aims to encourage and educate his clients on a path to achieving their goals. Away from the clinic you may find him keeping active in the gym, floating out amongst the surf, exploring the great outdoors or enjoying some live music.

PRACTICE MANAGER
MEET GINNI
Ginni Bilston – Practice Manager
Ginni is arguably the heart and soul of Quay Osteo. Her welcoming smile and regular laughter make her a favourite with clients keen for a little catch up while they wait for their appointment. Ginni’s passion for our community and helping others mean that she always has her ear to the ground for how we can be of service to those in need. With 3 boys of her own, she spends a lot of time driving to and from cricket and sitting watching for hours in between. Cooking is one of her great loves, and the Quay Osteo team is spoiled by her talent and generosity in the kitchen.
